Comments:

I bought this bike as a commuter to work about 6 miles away, comparing it to my girl friend's old bike, she is going to invest. I feel for the money, the competition falls just short. The sadle is more comfortable. It shifts clean and crisp. It looks great going down the road.

I ride this bike on paved trails and on the city street. This bike is comfortable to ride and it makes riding that much more enjoyable. The gears are easy to shift when on hills. I love my Giant Cypress.

      Comments:

Put over 2000 miles on this bike in the last year. Beat the living hell out of the bike, going on off road trails that would normally be only accessible by mountain bike. Replaced seat for smaller one within the first week of owning.Good bike for beginners. De-railer has had a couple of problems, and I have had to re-tune it twice.

If you want a smooth ride, this is the bike for you. The price cannot be beat by any quality brand bike. The styling of the frame makes for a very streamlined looking bike.

          Comments:

I have had my Cypress for almost six months and it is one of the best bikes I have ridden for the price. I bike 15+ miles a day I can get to speeds close to that of a road bike and keep it there. It's not as lightweight as I would like it to be, but it's also not as heavy as some of its competitors. It handles great and the shifting is smooth and quick. I dropped the riser all the way down and reversed the handlebars and it gives me a very low profile but not so low that it is hard on the back.

For me it has been durable (4 yrs, bought from bicycle world),it rolls like a dream and smooth. it seems to me to maybe have superior wheel bearings than some of the other bike manufacturers of this type of bike. Very comfortable but fast also and it handles well. Riding thru Grass and sand for short stretches does not cause a problem with this size tire. Only negative i didnt like the cushy seat and replaced with harder narrower-personal pref.

I test drove several bikes and when I got onboard this bike, I was hooked! I couldn't believe the comfort! However, when climbing hills, especially into the wind, this bike is extremely heavy! It is great for a nice, comfy ride on a flat or low-incline straight-away. It is excellent on paved trails! The glide is so smooth. For the low-budget, entry-level, casual cyclist, this is a great bicycle.

I am addicted to this bike.I love the comfort of it, and the way it glides accross the pavement. Its perfect for the beach bike path or getting around in the city.It could stand some improvement on the break release. It is very difficult to take the tires off, because its difficult to unhitch the break gadget.
